SASSY'S REVIEW
❖I absolutely loved Can’t Fix Cupid! Raven Kennedy gave me a hilarious, spicy, and surprisingly heartfelt paranormal romance that had me laughing one minute and tearing up the next. I went into this expecting a fun, quirky romance, but I wasn’t prepared for just how emotionally invested I would become in Trix and Warren’s story.
Trix is an absolute disaster, and I mean that in the most affectionate way possible! She’s impulsive, outspoken, completely inappropriate at times, and has absolutely no filter. Her ridiculous antics and attempts to navigate the human world had me laughing, but underneath all that chaos is someone struggling to find her place and prove she’s worthy of belonging. I loved that there was so much more to her character than her outrageous personality.
Then there’s Warren. He’s grumpy, emotionally guarded, and accustomed to having everything under control. Naturally, Trix comes crashing into his perfectly organized world and turns everything upside down. Their opposite personalities made for some fantastic banter, and I loved watching their relationship develop from frustration and attraction into something genuinely meaningful. Their chemistry was fantastic, but what I appreciated most was how they gradually learned to understand and accept each other for who they really were.
I also enjoyed the supernatural world Raven Kennedy created. The cupid hierarchy, magical abilities, and all the complications that come with Trix being terrible at her job added plenty of humor and originality to the storyline. The contrast between Cupidville and the human world made things even more entertaining. The pacing worked well for me overall, although a few comedic situations felt a little repetitive. Nothing that seriously affected my enjoyment, though.
What really got me was the emotional side of the story. Beneath all the humor and spice, there’s a meaningful message about self-worth, acceptance, vulnerability, and finding someone who loves you exactly as you are. Trix’s personal growth and Warren’s willingness to open his heart made their relationship feel genuine.
And that ending? Oh, Raven Kennedy, you got me! I actually teared up twice. First over their heartbreak, and then again when they finally got their happily ever after. I wasn’t expecting this ridiculous little cupid to have me sitting there getting emotional, but here we are!
Would I recommend it? Absolutely! If you enjoy paranormal romantic comedies, grumpy/sunshine relationships, quirky and outspoken heroines, protective heroes, hilarious banter, plenty of spice, and a romance that might just tug at your heartstrings, this one is definitely worth reading.
My Final Verdict: Can’t Fix Cupid was funny, chaotic, spicy, and unexpectedly emotional. I originally read it through Kindle Unlimited, but I loved it so much that I went back and purchased a copy for my personal library. And trust me, that says something!
